Demonstration against death of Ebenizer Folefack in Merksplas detention centre

10th May 2008 - Brussels (Belgium) - Around one hundred people, most of them from Cameroon, demonstrate to protest against the death of Ebenizer Folefack into a bathroom of the detention centre of Merksplas on 1st may. He died four days before his expulsion to Cameroon. According to his lawyer, Alexis Deswaef, Folefack had been beaten repeatedly by a police officer during a first attempt of expulsion on 26th april, thus he suicided in order not to suffer a second similar attempt. © Bernal Revert/ BR&U
